Aloha and Mahalo for inquiring about hula classes. We are a halau offering hula classes in Kahalu’u and Hau’ula for haumana ages 2 and older. Please feel free to choose the location nearest to you OR both at no additional charge.

 

Under the direction of Sonny Jean Irvine-Preston, the Haumana are taught Oli, Kahiko and ʻAuana to all levels. 

 

Haumana Tuition & Registration information 

Monthly hula dues are as follows:

• All households are $45 (due by the 1st Saturday of each month) Regardless of how many in the household dance, there is only one monthly charge.

 

Individual Classes at KEY Project and/or Hau’ula:

Hau’ula-Mondays:

5-6 p.m. Papa Lehua (invite only)

6-6:30 Papa Liko- Kaikamahine ages 2 and older

6:30-7 Keiki Kane – all keiki kane ages 2 and older

7-8:15 p.m Papa Melia- Wahine ages 12 and older

KEY Project- Kahalu'u on Tuesdays:

5-7 p.m. Papa Awapuhi (invite only)

5:45-6:30 p.m. Papa Liko Kaikamahine and keiki kane ages 2-11

7-8:15 p.m. Papa Melia Wahine ages 12 and older
