Aloha and Mahalo for inquiring about hula classes. We are a halau offering hula classes in Kahalu’u and Hau’ula for haumana ages 2 and older. Please feel free to choose the location nearest to you OR both at no additional charge.

 

Under the direction of Sonny Jean Irvine-Preston, the Haumana are taught Oli, Kahiko and ʻAuana to all levels. 

 

Haumana Tuition & Registration information - updated Feb 1, 2024

Monthly hula dues are as follows:

• All households are $60 (due by the 1st Saturday of each month) Regardless of how many in the household dance, there is only one monthly charge.

• There is a one time registration fee of $60 per household
  

 

Individual Classes at KEY Project and/or Hau’ula:

Hau’ula-Mondays:

5-6 p.m. Papa Lehua (invite only)

5:30-6:10 p.m. Papa Liko- Kaikamahine and keiki Kane ages 2 and older

KEY Project- Kahalu'u on Tuesdays:

5-8:30 p.m. Papa Awapuhi (invite only)

5:00-5:45 p.m. Papa Liko Kaikamahine and keiki kane ages 2-11

7-8:30 p.m. Papa Melia Wahine ages 12 and older (enrollment closed. Will reopen Oct 2024)
